
Tomato Pastina
A comforting Tomato Pastina recipe made in one pan, reminiscent of classic family meals. This dish takes about 20 minutes to prepare and combines flavors of olive oil, onion, and tomato, finished with cheese and basil for a delicious hug in a bowl.
What you need

tbsp butter

tsp pepper

basil leaves

tbsp chicken bouillon

cup parmesan cheese

yellow onion
cup chicken broth

olive oil
Instructions
1: In a deep pan on medium heat, heat olive oil and cook onions until translucent (~3 minutes). 2: Add grated garlic and cook for another minute. 3: Add tomato passata/puree, salt, pepper, and chicken bouillon. Simmer on low for about 8 minutes. 4: Add hot chicken broth and pastina and cook until pasta is tender (~7-10 minutes depending on pastina size). 5: Turn off the heat and stir in cheese and butter until melted. 6: Add basil leaves and stir. 7: Serve with a drizzle of olive oil and more cheese.
