A rich and sweet custard-like dessert with a hard caramelized top that will have your family and guests singing. This version combines heavy cream, whole milk, and vanilla, finished with a sugary crust.

What you need

Instructions
1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2: In a saucepan on medium heat, add heavy cream, milk, and vanilla. Stir to combine and cook until scalded. 3: In a bowl, add yolks and sugar and whisk until light and fluffy. 4: While whisking eggs, slowly pour hot liquid into the egg mixture, keeping whisking until combined. 5: Strain the mixture to remove foam and scoop off any additional foam. 6: Pour into individual ramekin bowls and place in a baking dish filled halfway with hot water. 7: Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 30-40 min until jiggly but firm. 8: Refrigerate until cool, at least 4 hours or overnight if possible. 9: Sprinkle sugar on top of cooled cream until nicely coated. 10: Using a handheld blowtorch, caramelize the sugar until hardened, or use a broiler while monitoring closely. 11: Top with berries and mint.View original recipe
