
Creamy Tomato Pasta
A quick and easy creamy tomato pasta dish that can be prepared in one pan in just 30 minutes, perfect for a weeknight dinner. It's loaded with flavors from garlic, broth, marinara sauce, and seasoned with Italian herbs, finished with heavy cream and mozzarella for a deliciously rich meal.
What you need

oz penne pasta

tsp pepper
cup mozzarella

basil leaves

parmesan cheese

tsp garlic powder

yellow onion
cup chicken broth
tsp italian seasoning

cup heavy cream

tbsp olive oil
cup marinara sauce
Instructions
1: In a deep pan on medium heat, heat oil and add onions, garlic, and tomatoes. Cook for 8 minutes or until onions are soft and tomatoes are broken down. 2: Add uncooked pasta, broth/water, marinara sauce, and all seasonings and bring to medium-high. Once simmering, cover and cook (stirring occasionally) until pasta is al dente (about 12 minutes). 3: Remove lid and stir in mushrooms, heavy cream, and cheese until cheese melts and cook for 2-3 minutes. 4: Add basil, red pepper flakes (if using), and top with cheese.
