1: Place tomatoes in a pot of water and boil until skins start to come off (about 15-20 minutes on medium high). 2: Remove tomatoes from water and blend in a blender or use an immersion blender to achieve a crushed tomato consistency. Set aside. 3: In a deep pan, heat olive oil over medium heat and cook garlic and onions until fragrant (2-3 minutes). 4: Add white wine and basil to the pan and cook for another 2-3 minutes. 5: Add blended tomatoes into the pan and cook covered on low for 10 minutes. 6: Cook an additional 10 minutes uncovered, and taste for salt, adding more if needed.View original recipe
