
Sausage and Peppers

A classic dish featuring large Italian sausage links cooked with bell peppers, onions, and garlic. This meal is perfect for sandwiches or served with rice and potatoes, combining bold flavors with ease of preparation.

What you need

red bell pepper

cup tomato sauce

italian sausage links

tsp pepper
tbsp oregano
green bell pepper

yellow onion

tbsp olive oil
Instructions
1: Slice peppers, onions and garlic and set aside. 2: In a deep frying pan, drizzle 1 tablespoon olive oil on medium heat. Add sausage links and cook each side for about 5 minutes (they do not need to be cooked through at this point, just nicely browned on each side). Remove from pan and set aside. 3: In the same frying pan that you cooked your sausage in, drizzle another tablespoon olive oil. Add onions and garlic and cook on low for about 3 minutes. Stir continuously so they do not burn. 4: Add bell peppers, salt, pepper, oregano and tomato sauce. Cook for 8 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add partially cooked sausage and cover with a lid. 5: Cook for about 10-15 minutes or until sausage is fully cooked through (155-165 degrees).
